Hey everybody happy thanksgiving to you all! i am wondering why some of the pre-made sims are sometimes mermaids when i play a game with the sim i created, but in another different game, that same pre-made is normal? just wondering!

Hey there!
If you have enabled story-progression and checked all the boxes for supernaturals, pets, etc., the game randomly turns NPCs into various types of supernaturals. This might be what you're experiencing

hi nindigo! see thats just it. i don't have supernatural checked and i still see certain pre-mades as mermaids i some of my games and at other times they are just regular pre-mades. not complaining or anything i was just curious as to why this happens. also i was wondering if i leave island paradise unchecked in expansion packs selected will this happen also? thanks for replying and happy thanksgiving!

Even with Supernaturals turned off, If you have Story Progression turned on (checked) you may see your pre-made Sims turn into mermaids. This is part of what SP does. Read more details with the link below:

If you don't want SP doing that, you may want to turn it off. If you'd like to have more control over Story Progression you may want to check out a mod from Nraas called StoryProgression.
It gives you more gameplay options that the standard SP from EA.

If you turn off Island Paradise, game saves using this pack will become unplayable. The mermaids will most likely disappear. As the game will think IP is "uninstalled" until you turn it back on.
