Sims 3 Desktop Comp. Will it run smoothly?
« on: November 25, 2017, 09:12:22 PM »
Hello, I'm fairly new to forums, My mom promised me a new desktop for Christmas, and was wondering if this desktop had the right hardware to run All Expansion and stuff packs, and Maximum Graphics? I do understand that the more ep's and content i add on, the slower the game is. Here is the link to the computer.

 ($400) https://computerdealsdirect.com/hp-pavilion-510-p021-tower-pc-intel-core-i5-2-20ghz-12gb-ram-1tb-hdd/?utm_medium=googleshopping&utm_source=bc&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_vLQ_ZHb1wIV0VqGCh3rmQxmEAkYAyABEgIoPfD_BwE

Intel Core i5 6400T – 2.20GHz Quad Core Processor
12GB RAM / 2 Memory Module Installed
1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive
DVD-RW Optical Drive
Memory Card Reader
Gigabit Ethernet
802.11b/g/n + Bluetooth Wireless Networking
Intel HD 530 Graphics Processor
Keyboard and Mouse
Windows 10 Home 64

If this is not a good computer or maybe this won't run smoothly, Is there any other type of computer I should check out? that most people seem is good at price and runs well?

If anyone can respond ASAP that would be amazing.

This computer will not run at highest settings. Due to the integrated graphics. However, you can add a better power supply and dedicated graphics card to it and it will then run the game at highest settings.

You didn't mention your budget. Desktops that have dedicated video cards that will run the game on high will usually run anywhere between $700-$800. Maybe $600 depending if it's on sale or not.

Those are both good in the way of processing power. But the GT graphics cards they both have aren't really made for gaming and won't run the game at highest settings.

With a budget that low, you may want to look at purchasing one of the ones you recently mentioned and play the game on low to medium settings. Until you've got enough money to buy a better power supply and a dedicated video card. That may be your best bet.

I could try that, but I forgot I had one more on my list, here's the link:

I just wanted to know if this was made specifically for gaming, and how good it is.

Thanks for your help by the way, I appreciate it!
