Q: Will there be in-game events and challenges? (Boost Weeks?)

Detailed Answer: EA doesn't have direct control over the console version of the game. So they aren't able to patch in game events. They would need to coordinate with Blind Squirrel Games (the company who is doing the port over) to do the game events.

Q: Is the memory System available in Sims 4 for the Console version?

A: No Memory System for the console edition.

It is not on console since we removed the in game UI for taking screenshots which is where this feature lived. Michael Duke (@SimGuruDuke) 25 Jan 2018

Q: Can you play more than 1 family in one save file?

A: Yes, you can play multiple families in one game save file. Just be aware they will exist in the same world together. You may see the family you're not actively playing out in the world. You can invite them over and befriend them, etc.

Reminder - Check your Game Options > Gameplay tab and check the Auto age to make sure it's un-checked (aging off) if you don't want your unplayed Sims to age while playing a different family.
