Can you uninstall/re-install Game Launcher

My Game Launcher won't download new houses, it just keeps getting stuck.  Is there a way to uninstall and re-install it?

It depends on which version of the game you're using.  If it's the original disc version 2012 and under, you should be able to uninstall/reinstall the Sims 3 base game disc and be good to go. - Provided it is not tied to Origin in anyway.

If you're using the Origin version 2013 and newer, try repairing game.

In Origin > Games Library, right-click on Sims 3 and select Repair. - It does not make any changes to the saved game files. Meaning that your saved games are safe, they won't be deleted. If you'd like you can copy the Sims 3 folder to the desktop or a USB key.

If Repair Game doesn't work, you may have to uninstall/reinstall the whole game, unless you have the install files backed up.

I have ALL the expansion packs.  Does that mean I have to start all over from the beginning?

You didn't mention which version you had, just that you have all the expansions.

If you have the pre-2012 disc version of the game, just uninstall and reinstall the Sims 3 base game disc. This should reset the launcher.

However, if you have a 2013 and newer version you will need to repair game through Origin.

If that doesn't work, you should be able to uninstall and reinstall the game through Origin. It will uninstall the whole game, and then you'll want to then install the whole game again through Origin.
