Not Able To Repair Things

Hi, for some strange reason, my family is totally unable to repair objects. The husband is at lev 6 handiness so he *should be able to. The only options I have when clicking on the object is to either replace or call emergency repair. When I try calling repair, they come and then give me the msg t hat nothing needs repairing even though both the shower and the kitchen sink are spouting water! My lot traits are bracing breezes, science lair, and good soil. Has anybody else had this? Thanks!

Not sure if this is the exact issue like what you are experiencing, but I thought I'd note it just in case.

I'm not seeing any tips or work-arounds other than to delete it and replace it.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. Just now, the kitchen sink, toilet, and bathtub all broke at the same time!! UGH!

Just a note here; I found out that i was an outdated mod that was causing the problem. Once I removed the mod, my sims were again able to repair things.
