Scuba Diving - Not Able to Level Up?

hi everyone,
 i am level 8 in scuba diving in isla paradiso and i keep sending my sim to dive, and snorkel but he is not leveling up. is this some kinda bug or something?

It seems there's been various reports of diving issues, but no clear answers on how to fix them. That I've seen.

Might try taking out the mods folder to see if that helps. It maybe one or more mods that is interfering with being able to level up.

i googled it and it is said to do a lot of snorkeling which i am doing, but my sim still can't get into pearls deep level 9. will keep trying something. i may even have to remove the mods folder just to see if that is the issue.

I did read mods could be an issue. No details on which could be interfering. Hopefully you're able to find away to level up.

YES, thank you, for getting back to me. i am going to remove the mods folder and see if he will level up. i am so curious to see what pearls deep looks like. this is the first time playing that i have gotten this far in isla paraadiso. can i keep you posted?

I just wanted to tell you i took the mods folder out and my sim, Chace leveled up to 9 and can now go into pearls deep. amazing to me that it was fine for him to enter mermaid grotto and get both treasure chests but could not enter pearls deep by leveling up.

Do you by chance know what mod may have been interfering with leveling up scuba diving?

No i don't. I just took the whole folder out and he found the treasure chest, and the exit in the cave but he has to have a little more skill to go through the exit.
