My name is Jeannine O'Neil, and I have been selected to start an Immortal Dynasty.  I'm an ambitious, friendly, unstable, charismatic schmoozer.  My goal is to to be a star news anchor, and my chosen supermax is social networking.  I'm also a witch.

Truth is, this isn't my first time attempting this.  Each time I do a little better, and since my granddaughter is almost a teen, I think I'll put my family's story up this time around.  One thing I always know for sure is my choice of husband, Matthew Hamming.  Yeah, yeah, I know, the rich, famous, good-looking, muscle-bound, commitment issues man, not very original.  But you see, the very first time I tried this, I was actually trying to get Caroline Custard to move in with me, he showed up at her place, and there was instant attraction.  I've never been able to even think about taking someone other than him as my spouse.  Step one: go to his house first thing, he'll be outside just like he always is at 8:20am on Monday day one.  Step two, use your knowledge of his interest in charisma and film to suitable charm him.  Step three, befriend and invite yourself in.  Step four, make your move.

Sucess!  I'm a bit shameless, I wound up staying the night after getting him to accept dating and an engagement ring, wound up woohooing, and heard chimes.  I also managed to plan our wedding for the very next day.  I'm ambitious, I work fast.

I wound up puking a bit the next morning, which was good news for me.  A quick brush of my teeth, and everything was a go for my wedding.  I have no idea what happened to Matthew's hair, but it never happened again.  Getting married pushed me up to 5-star celebrity as well.

Now, you may be asking yourself, how did I convince Matthew to join me in this endeavor?  A commitment issues man in an immortal dynasty?  It's quite simple really.  he loves me, I love him, he was looking for a relationship, and this helps immortalize him beyond his fame and career.  But mostly the love thing.
He convinced Caroline Custard and Marina Prattle to move in with us, while I convinced his brother, Michael Sleeper to move in the next day with the news of his impending niece or nephew.  Caroline hates kids, but is artistic so we choose her for portraits.  Marina can't stand art, so I put her on gardening duty, and Michael quit his bar tending to sculpt for us, even though he had already maxed the mixology skill.  What a wonderful brother-in-law!  With all the money brought in by my new family and roommates we built a small yet comfortable house.  Matthew getting constant cameo's and biography opportunities helped keep the money flowing in.

I decided to wait on getting my career, and worked on blogging all day.  That night it was confirmed, generation two was on the way!  the next few days were spent skilling, working and fulfilling opportunisties until late one night...

I'll never understand why everyone else freaks out so bad.  After a fairly easy home birth, I welcomed our son, Jean Claude.  JC has usually been the failure of this dynasty.  First he was hit by a meteor at school, then he spontaneously combusted at collage...the only time it wasn't his fault was the time Marina had a vampire baby, but that's a story for another time.  My precious son was born a witch, just like mama.  He's a brave genius.

After settling my little man in his crib and taking a few deep breaths to adjust to this new situation, I joined the journalism career.  Since I already had a little writing skill I started at level two.  I'd also like to think that Caroline put in a good word for me.

Meanwhile, Marina had been busy.  After helping Michael celebrate his birthday, she paid a visit to her old flame.

On the way home, she made a discovery.  I'm not sure who to hope the baby's father is, it could be either a cousin for JC, a potential spouse, or a vampire, causing us to fail like last time.  Oh, Marina...

Later that night, she was abducted by aliens!  I think they realized that she was with child, she was back within the hour.  I wonder if the baby might be alien now...

The next few days were all about skilling and working again, until Jean Claude's birthday.  We kept it small, just within the household.  No reason to have a huge party just yet, I like to keep him out of the limelight when I can.

I freaked out for just a second when I realized my baby wasn't a baby anymore, but got over it rather quickly once the sparkles hit.

My little man is all his father, other than having my ears and powers.  it's fine with me, I'm just glad he isn't blonde this time, that was hard to explain.

Later that night, Marina had some fun of her own.

Unfortunately, we forgot baby pictures until her birthday!  Her name is Ellie Prattle, she is an easily impressed artistic girl.

I'll leave you with her toddler pictures until next time.  Enjoy!

Wow, this is the first post and you have generation two already. I don't think I've seen anyone else try for a baby so early, bravo.

A big part of that is how old Matthew Hamming is.  I really wanted him to see his grandchild, and I also couldn't go to uni until JC was an adult, so the sooner he arrived the sooner gen one could get educated.

I was really upset when I realized that they were cousins, so unfortunately she sin't gonna be his wife, even though that was her original role.  Blame Micheal for having the wining woo hoo.

Chapter Two
Matthew

As the spouse of the first immortal, I knew there would be responsibilities I would need to take over.  I volunteered to help with our son to let Jean have enough time to focus on her career and blogging.  As an actor, I knew that few things were as important as talking, so we focused on that first.  I knew our son was a genius, but I never thought he'd take the skill up so quickly.
"Your mommy is ambitious.  Do you know what that means?"

"Mommy works hard!"

He learned his other skills just as quickly, constantly amazing me.  I know Jean thinks our son is a witch like her, and I honestly don't mind, even if the town thinks it's scandalous for me to 'hook-up' with an occult.  I just don't see it yet.
Micheal and I have never seen eye-to-eye, but we've been trying to put on a good face.  We took turns helping Ellie learn her toddler skills, and soon she was all done as well.

Soon afterwards, JC surprised us by aging up a bit early then we expected.  he gained the angler trait, and at his behest we signed him up for scouts at school.

He's always playing with Ellie.  It's too bad they're cousins, the two of them are perfect for each other.

With the household rapidly expanding, we updated the house a bit.  We definitely had the money for it.

Caroline wasn't making much progress at work, though her painting was coming along nicely.  Now, I love my wife, and I meant it when I married her, but Caroline was always flirting with me and I sometimes returned the compliment.  It never went anywhere, I never had a naughty reputation, but Caroline and Marina did.  It upset some of the family members, but honestly, what were they expecting from two flirty sims?  Still, it seemed to help calm the household when Caroline made an unexpected friend.

This is Yoopew Zip, a friend of Marina's, though not the same fellow who abducted her when she was pregnant with Ellie.  Ironically Marina, Caroline and I all rolled wishes to woo hoo with Yoopew, though only Caroline ever did.  It's just the exoticness of an alien, I swear!  In any case, it was much less funny later that night when my brother was abducted.  I hope he isn't pregnant...

He was less than amused when I told him of this possibility.

Ellie's birthday seemed to snap him out of his funk though.  The sparkles hit...

And my niece is so perfect, it's only natural that she became a perfectionist without any interference on our part.

Unfortunalty that was the end of my youth.  The sparkles hit...

And I said hello to my golden years.

On a side note, my niece met Sebastian Striker at my birthday party, the only son of my best friend forever.  I can't help but wonder if something might come of this.

My name is Jean Claude, or JC for short.  I like fishing a lot, so I started up on it right away.  I'm gonna make it my supermax, and decided that Presenting the Perfect Aquarium is going to be my lifetime wish.  It's really cold out right now, but I still like to fish after school and scouts.
When I'm not fishing or in scouts, or when it's just too cold outside, I spend my time with Ellie.  She's really nice and likes to paint.  She told me that she really wants to help out the dynasty any way she can, even though she can't be immortal like me and mom.  I really wish she could be though.  Don't tell mom, but I think I might give her a death flower when I'm older, even though I'll get in trouble.

My mom and I had the same birthday, so we shared a party.  Mom said it was important cause this is also my coming of age, whatever that means.  She was really happy when I told her about my lifetime wish and supermax were decided.  Mom excused herself to go to the powder room and get 'one last look without wrinkles'.  Caroline has portraits of her, it's not like she can't see herself as a young adult ever again.

The sparkles hit and mum aged up cakeless.  That's ok though, I had a cake and there was enough for everyone.  I thought long and hard on my wish.  I thought about Ellie.

I thought about my mom, the dynasty, and our family.

And did an awesome levating trick with the sparkles.

Now that I'm a teen, I understand.  I'm a witch, just like mom, just like she said.  I can feel the magic awakened in me now...but I still just want to fish all the time.  And spend time with Ellie, even though I'm older then her now.  Mom doesn't mind, we have eternity together to unlock the full potentials of our powers.  She can't do much more than a fire blast herself!

The next birthday was aunt Marina.  She's more of an honorary aunt since she and uncle Michael never got married, but she's Ellie's mom so she's family to me.

Mom taught me how to drive, and took me to a secluded place afterwards so that we culd talk about magic and so she could teach me the basics.  Some of the questions I asked her must have been pretty stupid, she didn't know what to say about a few of them.

Mom worked on a blog post while she waited for me to successfully conjure my first apple.  It was amazing!  I don't know how to describe the feeling of making something out of nothing, so I'll just leave it to your imagination.

Mom did a coming of age ritual afterwards as we practiced our magic together at night in the winter snow.  It was a special moment for the both of us.

Caroline's birthday came next.  In a house with this many people, it seems like it's always someone's birthday.  Since we had just had a party, and Carol didn't want anyone to know she was over the hill, she just had a party with her easel.

Ellie followed her example and aged up easle adjacent herself, though I came to celebrate with her.  I was ecstatic that Ellie and I would be the same age, now we could go to prom together, as friends of course.

She was a little tired, so I hoped she didn't see when I stared a bit.  I mean, my baby cousin was suddenly a woman!

And a beautiful one at that.  We became best friends forever to finsih celebrating her birthday.  She gained the neat trait to help out arund the house, she loved our family and wanted to help in any way she could.

Her dad also aged up the night.  I think it's cool how Ellie and I are the same age just like our dad's are.  Even if our dad's are always at each other's throats while Ellie and I have never fought.  Maybe it's an age thing?  In any case, they still celebrate together, so I think that deep down they might have a friendship like I do with my cousin.

JC and Ellie have grown into such good looking kids.
I absolutely loved them together.  I kept wishing that one of the other two contestants had won, but then Ellie would have been either an alien or potential vampire.  Oh, and not Ellie, so it's hard to complain.  Oh well, she has a mostly good life, I assure you.

Aww, JC and Ellie have such a cute relationship.  :)
It's one of my favorite things about those early days. =)

Chapter Four
Jeannine

While I had taught my son the basics of magic, he still had some trouble.  Luckily he kept his attempts small, and outside, otherwise I'm not sure we would still have a house!  His part-time job acting helped with keeping him busy as well.

Now that she was a teen, Ellie began to help her mother in the garden when she wasn't busy painting.  Ellie was a very busy girl.  In addition to all the housework she helped with, she was also in the art and study clubs in school, and was a self-employed painter.

Prom rolled around, and while Jean Claude was late, Ellie got to dress up and take the limo.  After she had brushed her teeth, of course.

Poor Ellie really had a time of it at prom.  She was rejected for a dance by both her crush and a stranger, then got into a fight because someone else saw her in the same dress!  It all worked out in the end when she was voted prom queen.  Despite being late, JC was voted prom king.  I like to think that the two of them danced together.  The day after prom, My little boy became a man.  I know I'm a bit of a young mother, but it's still hard to have a son be just one age state below you.  The sparkles hit...

And my son took his destiny into his own hands.

JC immediately decided to begin romancing none other then that artsy Carol who keeps hitting on my husband.  He later explained to me that part of his reasoning was that if he married Carol then Matthew would be her father-in-law, and thus unable to flirt with him.  He also knew that Matthew and I had rolled wishes to see him married, and wanted to make sure it happened while his father was still alive.  Bless him.

Ellie told me she thought she heard chimes last night, but that's just nonsense.  My son wouldn't have a baby out of wedlock.

Oh my god my son is getting married today!  And it's his graduation!  Graduation made him a little late for his wedding, but everyone important was still at the location by the time he got there.

Unfortunatly I missed the wedding.  I was in the hospital, having been admitted for instability.

I made it back in time to see the rings exchanged.

Ellie gave JC her blessing, though she seemed a little sad. You see, when Ellie was a little girl, she and my son had decided that they were going to get married.  Unfortunately, Ellie wasn't just a Prattle, she was born as Micheal Sleep's daughter as well, making them cousins even though Marina and Micheal never got married.  At best, Micheal was a fairly distant father, though he and Ellie were close as they aged.  But I digress.
Matthew and I both rolled wishes to be grandparents, so JC told us the news later that night.  What a wonderful, sneaky boy working so hard to ensure not only his father's happiness, but also that he would be able to see and hold his grandchild.  Warning to other dynasty founders, it's not always easy marrying an older spouse.  If you do, I hope you have a son like mine.

Take that Carol!  You thought you could flirt with my husband, and now your pregnant with his grandchild, and you hate kids.  Ha!...wait...what will this mean for my grandchild?  Oh plumbob.

Best.  Noo Boo. Ever.

She wasn't my first pick, but I really wanted Matthew to meet his grand-baby, and the house was really full, so...

Chapter 5
Jean Claude

My wife had a quick and easy labor.  I barley had enough time to put my book down before our daughter, Colette O'Neil, was born.  She's a witch, just like me and mom, and an artistic genius to boot.

Carol hates kids, so she quickly handed our daughter to me.  While I was a little sad at how she felt, I knew that when I married her, and holding my child quickly took that sadness away and replaced it with joy.

I think the only person happier than me was dad.  At 90, he was lucky that he had managed to hold on long enough to meet his granddaughter, and cherished every moment with her.

Ellie had her birthday the next day, and aged up into an even more beautiful woman than she had been as a teenager.  She closed her eyes, made a wish...

And Boom, adulthood!

She was invited to a party by Sebsatian, and when he greeted her, attraction struck.  She took her chances, and had her first kiss.

By the end of the party, they were going steady.  Unfortunately our household was full, so that was all they could be for now, but Ellie was fine with that.  After all, it was still her birthday, and she had a lot more time for marriage and a family.

Unfortunately, when she came home, time was up for my dad.

He begged for more time with Colette, but grim was unswayed.  Goodbye dad.

Mom had a beautiful memorial built for him in the backyard, and hosted a funeral for him.

Sebastian is a piece of work.  Ellie was crying on his shoulder at the gathering, and he kept hitting on her!  At my dad's wake!

He kept giving her this 'we never know when our time is up' crap, and eventually she fell for it and kissed him.  Ellie was close with my dad and in a very vulnerable state at the time, I can't help but feel like he took advantage of her.

If only it had stopped there...

Thankfully the service ended before he could get her in bed or with child.  Mom kind of lost it, and decided to run away to university to cope with it all.  Ellie and I decided to accompany her, me because I was worried about her, and Ellie had just graduated that day so collage was a logical choice.  She also told me on the plane that even though my mom needed me, she didn't want me to feel like I had no one to lean on while I was coping with my dad's passing.  She's the best cousin/sister/best-friend ever.  We packed our things and took the next bus out to uni.

Good news everyone!  I have my new computer, so I can start simming in earnest once again, after getting everything installed, maybe as soon as Thursday!  This means transferring this dynasty off of the rommie's comp, so there may be a lull while I ensure the file moves successfully.  I'm currently on gen 4 with this story though, so I should still be posting updates semi-regularly.

And yes, Malley, the Steel's should reappear again soon, the guy who built my computer said he rescued that file off of the hardrive.

Colette is such a pretty name :)  I like the memorial in the backyard.  Very nice but sad at the same time  :'(
I've been very fond of the name since first playing tales of symphonia.  I'm also going with french-themed names for this dynasty.  Colette means 'victory of the people'.  Wait until you see the first basement of the house, small memorials for all the mortals.  It's getting creepy how much ghost action is going on at the O'Neil's...

Chapter 6
Ellie

The first day at uni was very hard for aunt Jean and JC.  Uncle Matthew's passing had hit us all hard, but the fresh air and summer season helped to perk us all up a bit once we got our bearings.

We added a bit onto the house and updated it.  The three of us couldn't all live in a one-bedroom for two terms after all!

JC and I stayed up in the loft when we weren't studying.  It was fun, even though we were all the way across the room from each other, we could talk all night without getting our phones out.  The white board was also a lot of fun, even if some  of the things we used it for were less then school appropriate.

I began working on sculpting once I got my station going.  Dad wasn't going to live forever, and someone would need to make the ice sculptures for the incoming Immortals.  Oh yes, I know all about the dynasty, JC told me when we were children.  I had planned on marrying him when I was a child, before I found out that cousin-marriage is illegal in Bridgeport.  Oh well, I know JC will come back for me when everything is over.  Maybe after a trip in the sim bin...I'll do my part, and anything else I can for my cousin's sake.  Even if pretty girls are watching, and making me wonder about getting engaged so quickly, and women in general...

JC managed to max, then supermax his fishing skill, and even caught deathfish at school!  What an amazing feat!  Even his science-defying sun burn couldn't get him down.  Until the peeling started, but by then he was busy studying for finals, and a simple blast of the Moodlet Manager fixed that for him.  The only person more excited then him was Aunt Jean, who wrote about 5 blog post about her son's fishing, losing quite a few followers since it was all in the same day.

This salmon was number 350.  At least, I think it's a salmon.  Not my area of expertise.  I think he had it sent off to be mounted, but it wound up not arriving until the term was over.

We all managed to graduate with a 4.0.  Aunt Jean got a degree in Business, I got mine in Fine Arts, and JC got his in Science and Medicine.  I also got an honorary degree in Science and Medicine, as my mother's dream was to see me be a scientist and I wanted to make her happy.  My career wasn't all that important to me, my real duty was to the dynasty.  We all learned a lot at university.  And not just about the world, but ourselves.  Aunt Jean discovered what we had all long suspected, she was Neurotic.  I learned that I was a natural cook, and JC discovered that he loved to swim.  Can you believe that he had never swum before?  All that time he spent fishing as a child and teen, and he never made it into the water himself.

When we got home JC put the fish he had caught away, completing his lifetime wish.  He became a self-employed angler, and sold most of the remaining fish to further his career, though he confided to me that it wasn't really what he wanted to do with his life.

When I got walked in the door, my parents told me they had both rolled wishes to see me married.  Dad was already 88, so I didn't have anytime to waste.  I prepared myself for matrimony.  Now, don't get me wrong, Sebastian Striker is a good person.  He takes after his dad, so Dad tell me.  Uncle Matthew was best friends forever with Richie, Seb's father, just as JC and I are.  But...uni had made me question a few things.  If things had gone differently, if I wasn't already engaged, there were a few wonderful women I would have gone out with.  That's life, I guess.  In any case, I loved my dress, and did want a family, so here I was.

Walking down the aisle.

Though he wished me well, I couldn't help but notice that JC stood apart from everyone else cheering us on.  And the look on his face didn't quite sit right with me.  Looking back on it later, I would recall that a similar look had been on my face when he and Caroline wed.

Sebastian was insistant that we consumate our marriage, and dragged me over to uncle Matthew's trailer before I could think of a reason to say no.  I'm a bit embaressed that my first woo hoo was in public.  The paparazzi were actually waiting outside of the trailer when we did emerge, and I couldn't help but caste a guilty glance towards Uncle Matthew's grave, but it seemed he wasn't going to visit us tonight.  It's probably for the best, Seb may be brave, but meeting a ghostly in-law the night you get married is a bit much.

Whatever was bothering him seems to have passed, he was my first dance at the wedding reception after my dad.

Sebastian and I danced as well, though it wasn't as romantic as I had hoped.  His suit left something to be desired, though he claimed it made more sense then anything else with the cold weather.

We cut the cake, and the party slowly wound down.  Sebastian joined the military soon afterwards, and I worked on painting, sculpting and cooking in between work and cleaning.  I wonder if this is how marriages in the rest of the family have been.  I didn't think being married would be quite so...lonely.  At least there's plenty of left-over wedding cake.  Hopefully I can have a baby soon, someone of my very own to love as only a mother can.  But I'm torn, our household is full, and I don't want dad to go just yet...He says he understands, and promises to visit so that he can meet his grandson.  I wonder why he's so sure I'm going to have a boy?
