[BUG] Sims Food Too Hot? *Fixed!!*
« on: January 07, 2016, 04:58:29 PM »
Since todays patch the sims react to their food as if they are eating something way too spicy. No work around yet but if you could head to EA Bug Report and add a 'me too' that would be great.

*A sort of work-around*

So a sort-of work around is eating ice cream or baked goods. Neither of these food types seem to make the sims 'fan'. Personally I don't mind the fanning animation but the option is there for those of you who it is driving a little mad!  ;)

SimGuruDrake on the USA forum posted this today( Jan 13): Hello everyone! We are aware of the Spicy Food issue and will have a fix in our next patch.
Great news, fix on it's way soo.  :)

I just added a "Me too." I tried repairing my game, but it didn't go away. It's not a big problem -- my sims still get a moodlet for delicious meals.

From what it sounds like players have that have created new games still come into this bug. So it sounds like a pretty serious bug. :(

I noticed this after the patch also. I tried repairing the game and clearing the cache files and still had the problem. I come here post about it to see if anyone else had this problem before trying anything else and found that Playalot had beat me to it.
I added a Me Too to the bug report.

Yeah, there doesn't seem to be any work-around but like MarianT said your sim still gets the positive food moodlet after eating. The only thing it does is slow your sim eating times down a fraction... all the fanning! Dare say it will be patch fixed soon.

*edit: Time to eat doesn't seem effected actually has all the other idle animations have been dropped in place of the 'fanning'. So really, apart from the wrong animation being played, eating is pretty much normal.

I've not had this particular bug (yet), but it seems as though one of the new things w/the patch is the tv channels are totally scrambled except for when I pause it. I really can't stand it!

Yes... actually that reminds me... I thought I read something about that. I'll post back @Sonshine

*edit: Started another post on this with a link to the bug thread to post a 'me too'.

Just created a new Sim and she reacts to strange foods as if they were spicy, like garden salad. Has anyone else seen this? Not a huge deal, just doesn't fit with what she's eating.

Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum, @prog_frog! I merged your question with this thread. Anyway, it's a known bug. I think if you go to the top post, there's a link to the place where you can add "Me, too" to the list of people with the bug.

I'm going to hit "me too," although this bug is super funny to me. My sim has been eating nothing but yogurt and still thinks it's the spiciest thing ever. I imagine it will get old fast, but for now I'm just trying to imagine what kind of yogurt it could possibly be.

I didn't figure it would take long for someone to make a mod to fix this issue. :)
