Question: Sims 3 Package File Viewer?

I was wondering if anyone knew of a program that could view package files for Sims 3? For example, if I open a package file for an object, I could see a picture of the object and the patterns, or view a Sim's outfits, or something like that.

Being a Mac user, I haven't used it or paid it a lot of attention, but PC owning friends seem to be quite excited over it.
