Storage chests in the Sims 3 store

Does anyone know if any of the chests in the Sims 3 store actually function like the chests in World Adventures (so that you can actually store items in them)? I don't have WA installed (there isn't enough space on my computer to download another EP  :( ), but I'd love to find a way to store items in-game without downloading it. I searched "chest" in the Sims 3 store and several results came up:

It's hard to tell from the descriptions whether they're functional or just decorative, though.
