Wow so it took me forever to figure out where i put my question...about 30minutes...That'll teach me to leave after posting a new topic lol! So I worked on the problem...right now I have no idea if that worked bc right after I bought a new register the consignment store guy decided to close the store at 4:15 pm! Usually it closes at like 7...or maybe he closes it at 4 on a Friday? But anywho I'll go back after my sims have slept and see if it worked

Nope that didn't work....

Edit: However when I cancelled my consignments I already had done previously it worked just fine! :)

I didn't have a lot of time to test much last night, but I was able to delete the cash register, but I was unable to find a new cash register with buydebug. Maybe I'm just blind.

I noticed a register in buy mode, but not sure if it is a workable one or just for decoration.

I believe it was in electronics in misc. section.  That is what is making me wonder if it is working one, because if it was for show it would be in decor.

The only place I have been able to find all the cash registers is under community objects for the community lots.

I went to "Edit Town", double-clicked the Store, Build/Buy mode and then used the 'eyedropper' on the existing Register.  They are all separately listed [Nectar Merchant etc. etc.] in the Buy screen that comes up.

I added a 2nd register to the store - that spawned another NPC.  But neither Register will function, and only one of them gives the * when clicked.

Yah I couldn't get it to work for my game. I'm planning on starting up a new game in Twinbrook and see if that helps. :)

Got home from vacation today and fired up my test character for the da Vinci Challenge. The starting consignment shop character I believe was Cornelia Goth. But, I believe people have been saying that their problems started after a switch was made and sure enough, Cornelia had a baby and was replaced by Christopher Steel and that seems to be when the well ran dry. At 5 PM — absolutely no sales at all. But, the good news is at least the "fix" is simple enough — canceling all existing consignments and then consigning again did the trick.

I struck out my post about deleting the cash register. I'm sorry for the misinformation. I'm surprised one isn't easily available in-game. Honestly I expect everything you can delete with cheats to be found somewhere in buydebug, but I might be wrong.

Carl, you can delete it and replace it. It seems to be working for me, when I stop getting money at 5, I check and if it says cancel consignments, I do that. Than I Shift+click anywhere and hit buy on this lot. The cash registers are under, well I forget I'm going to open my game and take screenshots. Ok, I know cheats might not be for everyone, so since I was just going to check it out, I did not put the cheats in. I already owned the place, so I hit real estate, build on this lot and then I took the screenshots.
