Really?  What happens?

I think Leto was joking - making the comparison between nectar and the human equivalent of wine or something alcoholic.  Leto, if I'm wrong here, let me know, ok?

Haha, no you're right. I was maybe better off by placing a :P at the end of the line, to avoid confusion.

Thank you helen and metro, it wasnt that hard at all, around 15 minutes of coping recepies to office document, and in around 2 real life days I spend a few hours testing this.. and with stoped aging, buydebug and static needs it is not a problem to check things like this..

metro keep them coming :)

It was late when I posted this, so fresh in the morning I remembered a few things I didn't mention in previous posts.

First, English is not my first language and I learned it all by myself in impossible situation so I apologize for a bad spell, I haven't used it in written form for a while, and since I recently moved to another country (swede motherland:)) I'm in a process of learning other language so again, I apologize for mistakes. PS I just realize there IS a spell check so no reason to embarrass myself with bad English anymore! thanks!

Second, I took into consideration all recipes that were labeled as amazing or not clearly labeled at least for me. Some of the recipes didn't even had 10 fruits counted. After reading this tread I realize there is 2 possibilities, first that this randomizing factor have variation on different computers, but doesn't seem as solid argument since recipes from some posts were all amazing and some were all not amazing, and also, It is hard to believe that game designers would make such a big part of a skill to variate individually. Maybe the language correction factor is not all perfect.. point is that it is probably the other reason why some recipes listed as amazing turn out not to be amazing - probably incorrect posting.

Third, all french grape varieties are also in the basement of Chateau de Landgraab. It is available via china adventure line to gain entrance to dragon cave,  or with Pangu axe and charmstone key. Since I always start in china and my first trip to France is always with this adventure line I never look for other sources of rare grapes ;)

And last, I haven't check Carl's list because I trust he checked it before putting it into the guide :D

I don't know if it's of any use but I think I discovered the Sims equivalent of... well any really cheap wine that still manages to taste good... nine grapes plus one lime is apparently a great tasting combination, but with store bought fruits it's still normal quality and worth less than the fruits you made it from (at least at zero skill and machine with no upgrades which is what I just tested it with to make sure I hadn't imagined that result).

Store bought fruits? You can actually buy fruit from the store?

Yep all fruit can be bought at the stores in the hometown and vacation spots. In France, the rare grapes can be purchased with ancient coins from the special merchant.

Oh yes, I knew that. But with store, I thought you were referring to the sims 3 store on the internet.

15 amazing grape recipes
« Reply #163 on: October 04, 2010, 07:04:17 AM »
I'm aiming to find 15 amazing grape recipes, so when making nectar, with the mind of achieving all of the challenges as quickly as possible, my sims can make ONLY amazing nectar, from ONLY grapes.

So far, including a couple I found online in the nectar recipies thread, here is what I have:
(prices are approximate at level 10 skill, using perfect grapes, improved pressing, basic nectar, and taking away the 10% for my sim's flavourful feet)

4 renoit + 3 cherimola blan + 3 avornalino = outstanding ~$112
3 cranerlet nuala + 3 gralladina fran + 2 renoit + 2 meloire = perfect ~$226
8 renoit + 2 grapes  =  outstanding ~$95
7 avornalino + 1 renoit + 2 gralladina fran = perfect ~$172
2 avornalino + 6 renoit  2 cranerlet nuala = perfect ~$161
1 cranerlet nuala + 2 meloire + 7 gralladina fran = perfect ~$184
2 cranerlet nuala + 5 meloire + 3 avornalino = perfect ~$215
4 cranerlet nuala + 5 meloire  1 avornalino = perfect ~$233
2 cranerlet nuala + 6 gralladina fran + 5 cherimola blan = perfect ~$223
3 cranerlet nuala + 2 gralladina fran + 5 cherimola blan = perfect ~$209
5 cranerlet nuala + 3 gralladina fran + 2 cherimola blan = perfect ~$249
5 gralladina fran + 4 meloire + 1 cherimola blan = perfect ~$199
7 gralladina fran + 1 meloire + 2 cherimola blan + perfect ~$201
4 cranerlet nuala  1 gralladina fran + 5 grapes = perfect ~$176

Sofar I have made 617 different combinations, and will update this thread when I have more, but would love it if anyone has some amazing grape only recipes to add

(1 more to go!!)

Just out of interest, there are 8008 grape-only recipies
http://www.mathsisfun.com/combinatorics/combinations-permutations-calculator.html
This website will let you input the names of the variables, so you can make a list of all the recipies!

Nectar Recipes (With Plasma)?
« Reply #165 on: November 01, 2010, 07:33:47 PM »
Since I've read that you can make nectar with plasma fruit (that only vamps can drink as it makes reg sims ill), I was wondering if anyone has came up with any recipes using plasma fruit?

Not yet, as I have to create a new nectar making sim... but I found a 50% plasma, 50% cherry nectar spawned in Dong Zhuo's treasure cave underneath the market in China. It sold for 300$ IIRC.

Now they probably will rise new recipes including Plasma and maybe other new fruits, will it than maybe be an option to also copy this topic to the Night Life part of the forum?

Speaking of plasma fruit nectar...

Life x6, Flame x3, Plasma x1 not only nets all the fun moodlets and replenishes vampire thirst, it nets a quite an expensive bottle; my current single bottle record with it (using extended nectaring, improved flavor, flavorful feet and perfect produce) is 606, which is not bad at all.
It also seems to be one of the best plasma-using recipe around. I'm sure it beats all other flame/plasma/life bottles (tried them all), and I did some extensive testing mixing in other expensive produce I had around.

I don't think we need to duplicate the thread.  Just a link to this one will work if it comes up.

I never saw a link elsewhere linking to another topic somewhere else before.

The first of vampires can simply be solved with a bottle of nectar with one plasma fruit or are more plasma fruits in a single bottle recommended?

I found a great plasma containing recipe.  It's easy to make too.  The recipe is 4 renoit grapes, 2 cherimola blan, and 4 plasma fruit.

Edit:  I found another great recipe.  9 plasma fruit and 1 life fruit.

As you can see by the date on the last post - as well as the rather... intimidating red lettering above this box - no one's spoken about these recipes since May.  Personally, even though I've owned World Adventures since its release, I've not experimented with nectar until now.  I was curious if there was anyone using fruits introduced in later expansions to make nectar?  I made a pure banana (introduced in Showtime, I believe) blend and was shocked that the results were three bottles of worthless, horrifying quality nectar despite my perfect nanners.  Has anyone else had similar experiences or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!  ;D
