Hi, I'm puppylikeswhale.

I have enjoyed Sims series since Sims 2, by looking through other players' blogs. Last year was when I really started playing this game. I am currently enjoying Sims 4 and my playtime just went through 600 hours.

When I first played this game, I started with Legacy challenge. But it got bored. Meeting families needs while enhancing their skills, leveling up their careers and achieving achievements were so repetitive.
Then, I started writing stories. I focused on sims' relationships and emotions. I wanted a deep connection with my sims, so I built every house for them. And it got bored. I don't know why but I think my imagination has lost its source.
Everyday I looked for interesting game play ideas, challenges, and character concepts.

Right now, I just met Carl's Tournament and today I really really had fun doing the challenge.

I want to share interesting game play ideas with other players. And that's why I'm here. It is nice to join this nice community.

Hey what's up I'm Escape From Noise but you can just call me Noise... I started playing Sims 3 when I was younger and now I'm coming back to 4 after almost... 2? years of not playing

I have bad taste in music and I like to make silly characters who do dumb stuff... I mostly use Sims to play around with my OCs to be honest

Hi everyone! I recently found this forum while searching for sims challenges and it seems like a fun place. I've been playing Sims since the Sims 2 expansions were being released and about 6 months ago I made the switch to Sims 4(I owned Sims 3 base game but rarely played it). I'm actually playing on the first laptop I've ever owned that I've never installed Sims 2 on which kind of makes me sad. I'm looking forward to participating in the tournament challenges and possibly trying my hand at telling some stories.

Hi, I'm a long-time Sims player (since Sims 1 twenty years ago!). My gameplay has been pretty boring though, because I haven't tried to make stories or do challenges or anything except fulfill wishes, build families and advance my Sims in their careers. So I'm joining the forum to take part in some of the challenges.

So far I've started on the Simazing Race challenge and the SimTech Dynasty challenge... I can see my work is cut out for me! I'm almost 28 days into SimTech and only maxed 3 skills so far  :-[

*clears throat nervously*

Hi, my name is Pam.  I'm also known as Spoop in the blogging world.  The Sims 3 is my first experience with the Sims franchise and I absolutely love it!  I've completed the Legacy Challenge recently and I'm still playing my legacy family, but without the legacy restrictions.  I also just built my own house in The Sims 3, which was totally awesome.  I wasn't very good at building when I started, but I'm getting much better.

I'm a global moderator here on Carl's Forum and I also help out with the guides over on the main page.  Carl and I are both very excited about everyone who is joining the forum and participating in the discussions.

Erm, ok...  I guess that's it.

Ohhhh!!! So now I know who the "Pam" is on the forum title! I guess you have no relation to Carl! And here I thought you were his wife! *facepalms*

So, *clears throat* ermmm... HI EVERYONE!!  My name is SimNike aka John Alves, as you'll find out if you go to my Sim Story in this forum!

A little bit about my Sims history/background?

I started out playing the original Sims since age 17-18... When it came out in 2000. Absolutely LOVED IT! Then came what I thought was the best thing to ever happen to The Sims... The Sims ONLINE!

I had mainly 99% of the time designed and built a Sims house where I had (that my sims eye could see) all female roommates. There was one or MAYBE TWO male roommates in my TSO history but that was it. I was the owner of a #1 Skill House that specialized in Body and Logic that was in Test Center called Tropical Isle BodyLogic. I remember spending anywhere from 7-8 hours of real life playing, getting to that #1 spot! I was addicted I'll admit! Then came what was my Sims' "mid-life crisis". My dad in real life had been battling brain cancer for almost 2 years at that time and I told my sims roommates that I would come back online before my second job. Well, after my first job's shift ended my mom called me and informed me that my dad was on his last legs of life and told me to come home immediately. I came home and about 20 minutes later, he passed away in his own home, surrounded by his loved friends and family. :( He died at 54. Well, hours later, I came back on Sims Online only to find out that nearly everyone moved out but 2 people. I was crushed and disappointed as that was going to be a place where I would go to to get my mind off of what had just happened. After that, I had gotten off of Sims and didn't play it as much after that.

I went under different names... NBA, Nike, Bruce Almighty, and the last one that I can remember is Quiksilver before its end in 2009 when the servers went down.

I played Sims 3 but it wasn't the same (Sims 2 I barely played). I wish there was online playing! Still do!

So getting into Sims 4, there was a Bob Pancakes USA tour where one stop was going to be in Austin, TX. Being from Houston, i decided to make that drive and show my sims fandom! Got there had some free pancakes courtesy of Bob, and began my Sims 4 journey!

To close, I just want to say that I was part of another Sims 4 forum stories site but sadly that forum went down in 2017 and I had lost everything. Last I checked on my Sims Story, it had nearly 50,000 views! Now here, whatever happens, happens. I will post on my story whenever I can but life is a bit different now. I am a married man now. Got married in January 2017 to a wonderful woman that I met on an online dating site. I also have a full-time job at a grocery store so I'll do what I can to update my story!

It will probably read different than from other stories you've probably read before but I always aim to be original... To be different. Im very expressive in anything and everything that I do!

I hope to see you all in the forums in the stories section!

Sul Sul!!!! :) -- Simmish

Hey all! I remember loving this site and poring over it for days back in the TS3 times... I hope I get the drive up to post stories here again soon! Starting an immortal dynasty that I'll probably fail soon ;)

Hi! I've used Carl's guides for years but only checked out the forum recently and ended up registering. The challenges/activities sound especially fun! I'm not really good at introducing myself, but it's nice to be here.

Hey gang!  It's me, Tiamet.  I'm back again.  Got a new challenge story for you, 100 babies.  Don't worry, GK is safe in the file, but the notebook with all the info on Black Ops, etc is still missing.  In the meantime, hope you enjoy my new thing.

*waves*

I've been playing The Sims since first release (gosh I feel old now) but it seems I learn something new almost every time I play. I love all aspects of the game - building, playing the neighborhoods, challenges-- but my all-time favorite is starting with empty worlds and rebuilding, playing each household in rotation. The Prosperity Challenge of the Sims 2 was one of my favorite challenges.

Mods installed: none
Cheats: Only when instructed (ie to set starting funds for a challenge etc)
