The nanny is spraying for monsters under the bed . Mine do it all the time to the point of ignoring the kids. The butler either picked the wrong place to read or is an under the bed monster come to life

I think, if you're a monster, that has somehow managed to reach the other side of the mattress, the spray is supposed to be able to send you back to your own world. It never hurts to be safe.

@Dreamweaver Oh, of course. Thanks for clearing that up The nanny actually DID ignore the child and I ended up dismissing him. The butler kept sitting on his bed and reading his butler book, so I ended up cancelling his service as well.

@CuriousSim I still need to catch so many types of fish. I really want a tank with angler fish in it, but I find it hard to catch even one. I should probably try and dedicate myself to fishing as a whole.

One of the most hilarious things I've ever seen, was when my Sim apparently lit a dud firework. It turned everyone nearby black & made them mad.
