It's an option at City Hall if you have the skill. I forget the exact name of the action, but it's something related to getting a street art job.

Hi Trip,

Lisa46 added a question to her, post, it may have been missed by you, so I'm quoting it here for you.

Dek

That's probably a question for the hints thread - http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/forum/index.php/topic,12247.750.html

MODIFIED to add a question: One of my sims disappeared. Just... Disappeared. It was a ghost (Violet Slymer) so I'm not sure what happened, but she just fell off the portrait panel for no reason. My theory is she might have died, but of what? And is my dynasty failed? I really hope not, I just got done supermaxing photography.

Thanks for the heads up.

@Lisa: Was Violet an elder? Ghosts inside the household "die" with little fanfare when their time is up, and the camera doesn't even pan to them. However, you get a message about them returning to the great beyond when it happens. Unless you're referring to her disappearing in a different way.

She was an Adult, just aged up. I thought she might have died but wasn't sure how.

Go back to your last good save with her and continue from there.

Pretty sure there's no way for a playable ghost to die other than through old age.

Hi, Trip, so I looked for that way to force Commissioned Street Art like you mentioned and it's not there. I'm really starting to get worried about the heir's ability to get opps. She's in the middle of her YA stage and those are the only two she's gotten; none for fishing (her skill), none for logic(learning for her job), and none for her job( which I don't think has opps, she's a ghost hunter). Sorry if I sound excessively nervous, but she's Gen 7 and I'm hoping she gets them soon.

Really? I've never not seen that option at City Hall. :-\

Ghost hunting actually has a few ops. One was delivering spirits to one of the rabbitholes ("Best. Haunted. House. Ever."). My ghost hunter got it towards the end of her career.

Logically, those skills of hers should give some ops. Middle of the YA stage is too soon to tell if things are dire or not.

What rabbithole careers have you used so far?

Ah, good, that's a relief to know.

Politics, Military, Police (Spy), Medical, Chef have all been used.

Ghost hunting is a quick profession to max, and there are a lot of rabbithole careers that use logic that you haven't used yet. If things are getting tough, you can try one of those careers once ghost hunting is finished. Teaching, the evil branch of the Criminal career, and the forensics branch of the Police come to mind. And then there's Business, which has plenty of ops and no required skills.

Thanks for the list, Trip. I'll probably stick her in the Education career if she doesn't get her opps, that way I don't have to worry about potential overlap (I think Gen 4 got an opp or two from business while she waited for ambrosia). When should I start panicking about opps?

Adulthood sounds like a good time to. If she doesn't have half her ops by then, take some more measures.

So, I have my gen 5 baby, who will not cake.  I've tried resetsim, saving to a new file, and having each member of the household trying to bring him to the cake.  Is using cheats to age him ok?

Will he not age up on his own?

I just reloaded, and he managed to do it on his own, cakeless.  Neither of the babies can cake, but the other age groups can.

Weird but as long as they age, that's what counts.
