The Sims 3 Immortal Dynasty Challenge

Do save as, so you have a save before this happened. Exit the game and go back into the game, starting with the one that is most up to date. I usually find that exiting and reloading solves the problem.

bubbles is right, save as and exit then restart the game.  Make sure you clear all your cache files too before restarting, helps a lot.

Hiya! I just have a quick question. It says in the rules that no EA-created lots may be placed. But there are a lot of worlds that don't have a festival lot!

Would it be possible for me to create festival lots for these worlds, and then send them to one of the challenge masters, and then have them see if they're alright for anyone playing a dynasty to use?

The sim gurus have created some festival lots for other worlds and posted them on the exchange. These are classed as Offical lots and are the only lots allowed to become festival lots. So the answer to your question is no.

Are there festival lots for Midnight Hollow and the other newer store worlds? I know they exist for Monte Vista and Dragon Valley, but I don't know of any others.

I have a question, since I've always wanted to do this dynasty and never gotten very far and since today the tournaments challenges end: will the dynasty challenges end also? Do the dynasties have a finish date?

The dynasty challenges are open more-or-less indefinitely. Maybe there will be a time when there's no one around to add you to the Hall of Fame, which would mark the "end" of TS3's dynasty challenges, but I don't forsee that happening for a while. I plan to stay for as long as I can (and I do have HoF-adding privileges, don't worry!).

Before I actually started my game, while still in Edit Town mode prior to play,  I just placed a large enough lot and designated it Festival Grounds.  At that point I put whatever EA lot appealed to me on that empty lot, knowing that once I was in game and had enough Simoleons I could buy it as a property and remodel it to my taste at that time.  Right?  There aren't any restrictions on remodeling a lot you own are there?  If there were you couldn't upgrade places.

Correct.  Once you buy it as property, you can remodel it to your taste.
