I think I contribute to this thread far too much...

You know you've played too much Sims when you see the new IKEA gnome advert and immediately want to recreate it in The Sims 3.

You also know you've played too much Sims when you try to shampoo your arm because you're thinking about The Sims 3 in the shower.

When you get sad after your sim dies. I've never really played Sims with aging on until this year, and I haven't experienced the pain of losing a sim.
Either I've been playing Sims for too long, or I'm just over-emotional LOL.

I usually get pretty sad when I'm playing a legacy and my founder dies. Like, I remember creating you. You got that job and climbed to the top. You found that special someone and marry him. You had your first son and taught him how to walk and talk then watch him as he grow up to be a man.

I could go on about that but mhm.. So. Many. Memories.

Like yeah they're just a bunch of pixels but to me Sims are like pets in a way, you basically take care of them (well I'm a control freak, I control everything) and you've spent a lot of time with them.

That's how I feel during my first weeks of playing legacy. Though I've gotten over it now xD

Same here!

You know you've played too much Sims  when you're wandering around a BEAUTIFUL mansion in the countryside and at EXACTLY the same time, you and your Mum say "I bet you wish you could/I wish I could recreate this place in Sims"  ;D

Don't worry Kevin, we all miss dead sims. ;)
It can be very sad, and in some cases traumatizing.

You go to sleep right after working on a date for a story and in the half-asleep state think, 'Wow, I wish I could go there! This place is awesome!'

@ Kevin - We've all been there. I'm definitely known to shed a few tears when favorite sims die. What's almost as bad is being afraid to let favorite sims die because you know you'll be an emotional wreck when they do. I still refuse to let Malcolm Landgraab kick the bucket...probably why I'll never be able to finish my dynasty. :P

You also know you play too much Sims when you are wandering through the electronics section of Walmart and your significant other purposely steers you away when you stop at the Sims section. Darn you, Mr. Draconis. :P

I refuse to let certain Sims die. Seriously. I have two immortal sims that I love, both of them my Evil little bundles of darkness. William has lived for almost ten generations, methinks.

Oh I know right. Glad I'm not the only one feeling this way! ;D
I don't think I'll ever make my sims immortal, though.. It just seemed.. weird? xD

I also refuse to let certain ones die. First time, I merged Aggie into my home to give her an elixir, but now I just throw them at my special babies. I think I've played alot of sims (I don't like to say I've played too much because there is never too much!) when I go through my sims friends every night just make sure my faves haven't turned old!  ;D

You have a friend with the nickname catfish and you keep on trying to feed him cheese in order to use him to attract a female acquaintance called Angel ... and they don't get it...

Hahaha I laughed out loud. To me, that signals that your friends don't play Sims enough! Good thing we all have each other for those times when our friends just don't understand.

You try to pause everything.
Battery low? Better press "P".
Dinner time? Better pause the internet. Press "P".
I'll get back to that video later. Better press "P".
