I'm casting my vote for Twinbrook. That would pull in some fun genetics. :)

Ethel remains my absolute favourite! You cast that girl so well!
As for the move... I do not know what is most practical, but I haven't seen much of Hidden Springs in stories.
I shall, of course, follow this family with much interest wherever they move to.  ;D

...I've had Dynasties in both Riverview and Twinbrook...both are fun places to play. But Riverview doesn't have a lot of people after a while (I mean, I'm only on second generation and there's no original townie kids really), so I'd go with Twinbrook.

I vote for Riverview! All the townies are quite good-looking, there's nice scenery, and it never lags much in my personal experience.
I expect Azokka either to yell at everyone and totally dominate or else get out the popcorn.-Ombradellarosa

Firstly, I'm going to apologise for basically disappearing on this story and my other ones. RL and my health issues got in the way of simming, but I'm hopefully back now even if updating won't be quite as often as it's been in the past. Sorry everyone!

In happier news, Iris has moved towns and generation 9 is on it's way in my game. I know where she's moved to but I'm not going to reveal it just yet (because I'm really mean).

And also I'm about to get an update together for you all.

Happy Families

We've been getting the notification that Kieran will die soon every day for about the last two sim weeks now. So he spends a lot of time hanging round the lot with Daniel. It gives them both something to do now Daniel's not got any more nappies to change.

Daniel: He smells worse than the smelliest toddler though.

You're elders, not children.

Kieran: So? You smell worse than five of the smelliest toddlers.

Definitely no toddlers around here anymore, as the youngest two CrumpleSteels of the current batch age up to teen.

Josie: I wish to have no sisters and to become a scientist.

Albert: Told you I was her favourite.

Josie: No I just forgot you. Can I amend my wish, Watcher?

If you want, seeing as the dynasty rules say I can't shift delete your sisters anyway I can't do it to Albert either.

Josie: I want to change my wish then. I want to become a scientist, and a Bwan Speedster, and...

Too late.

Josie: I hate you.

Said like a true teenager.

Here she is as a teen. She's got Gabrielle's mouth and eye size but other than that she's got the generic townie features.

And before we all forget Peggy, let's go watch her age up.

Peggy: I wish for a cooler name than Peggy, and less dorky hair.

Oh! You scared me!

Mary: I hate everyone and everything, but mostly Ethel and hair dye.

At least it's coming out now.

Mary: Too slowly. I'm going to kill her. Or get her back. Or get her back and then kill her.

This is a family friendly forum, Mary.

Mary: I'll do it off screen then.

Peggy's... looking grown up.

Peggy: I'm not Peggy anymore, I'm Ret. Ret is a cool name, Peggy's for losers and old ladies.

Ret sounds like a dog, or a cough sweet or something.

Josie: HEY! How come you granted her wishes? That's not fair!

Ret: How come you got more pictures so far in this update than I did? That's not fair either!

I'm leaving you to this one.

Josie: Come back and give me my Bwan Speedster!

Ret: Everyone in this family is mad.

Ethel: Yep.

Ret: When you become a Young Adult, can you move out and take me with you?

Ethel: No. I'm not dealing with any stupid teens.

Ret: You just hate other people because you hate Mary. I don't like Mary either, she's boring and stupid.

Mary: Excuse me! I'm behind you, I can hear you! And I have the GENIUS TRAIT!

Ethel: Can you hear anything?

Ret: Some weird squeaking noise.

Ethel: Oh, and by the way, I still hate you from that time at the park. Just slightly less than I hate Mary.

Josie: I'm staying out of this.

Good idea.

Mary tries to get Ethel back for the dye trick. Unfortunately she didn't manage to get the permanent stuff. I think the grocery store may have blacklisted the CrumpleSteel teens.

Daniel is 90 days old now so him and Gabrielle are spending a lot of time together.

Ethel: Eww. Parents cuddling. Gross.

Gabrielle: I love you, smushypoo.

Daniel: I love you too, babysweetcheeks.

Ethel: I think I need to be sick.

I leave you on a shot of Mary playing the guitar with her still-dayglo hair, two too many paparazzi watching her, and Ethel probably using the music as a cover for some plotting time.

And I promise that the next update will be a) less than a month away this time and b) actually have our heir in it.

I didn't even notice Iris wasn't in the update until you said she was missing at the end. I agree with Ret, Peggy is not a name that's suits her.

I will agree with the above comments and add that I love that Mary's hair dye is slowly growing out. That is brilliant. And I love that Kieran and Daniel have never ever changed toward each other.

I hope you feel better soon, but hurray for more updates!

As for Iris not being in the chapter, sculpting is easy but boring and hardly worth more than three screenshots. You're forgiven. :P

:3 Really fun story! If you don't mind me asking, what's the name of the hair you use for Iris? I've been looking through the store content but haven't been able to find it.

Haha, I didn't notice she was in it until I noticed I hadn't made any shark jokes in that update!

I love it that the grocery store has blacklisted your teens!

They've been buying a lot of pranking stuff :)

They're totally the type that would never change! Mary's hair dye

Yeah, totally. Watching sims supermax in general gets quite boring. Probably why I always end up liking the spares slightly more. And thanks :)

Yep, you're right about Iris' hair, it's from Master Suite. And one of my favourites too.

More Young Adults

Ret: So, can I get a job here?

Woman: Shouldn't you be at school?

Ret: What do you mean? I'm not a teenager!

Truancy Officer: Yes you are.

And while Ret's busy getting arrested for truancy, Mary's having her birthday.

Ethel: Smellllyyy... smelllllyyyy... smelllllyyyyy!

Mary: Mature.

Mary: Bunches, and it's still got dye on the end of it. Despite having got shorter. This isn't logically possible.

Many things in the world of the sims aren't logically possible.

It's then Ethel's turn.

Ethel: Dad. Please. Put some clothes on or I'm refusing to age up.

Daniel: What's wrong with my pants?

Unfortunately sometimes you just do have to age up while your dad is wearing something embarrassing.

Ethel: Lilac!?!

Ethel could look really pretty with her hair down.

Or she could go for a slightly different style of bun, it's still pretty.

But no. Ethel has to go for the severe Victorian teacher hairstyle.

Graduation family snapshot.

Ret: Can't wait until prom. It's the only good use of a school building.

Mary: So hungry.

Everyone else: Can't we go home yet?

Iris: Sharks... after me... what can I do?!?

Ret: I'm never going to be popular with this lot around.

Unfortunately that shot was the last one with Daniel in it.

Gabrielle: Daniel! My love! (Why am I thinking about darts while he's dying?)

Ethel: Mum, stop it. Stop being all soppy over Dad. You're too old.

Gabrielle: Daniel! Don't go, please!

Daniel: I'll have to write a book about this!

Grim Reaper: I'll just wait out here while you have your touching moment then. By myself. *singing* Alll by myself, don't want to be all by myself, anymore!

Mary: The point you get a singing Reaper is the point everything gets truly bonkers.

Albert: Of course I'm eighteen. I have a beard!

Bouncer: It's more like fluff, but okay. Whatever.

Ret: Yessss.

Ret: I can't believe how easy it is for teens to buy juice in this game.

Neither can I.

Ret: I mean, seriously.

Hang on, how do you know it's a game?!?

However it's not a particularly cool club. Nobody else is there apart from the two teens.

Ret: We're just before the crowds.

And now they're hipsters.

Albert: Come on, let's go down and play some pool. Dancing's rubbish.

Yeah cuz that's going well.

Albert: Shut it. And you, Ret!

Albert: Ret...

Ret: What? Oh.

Albert: RUN!

They ran.

Ret: I'm sorry officer. My dad died today.

Officer: Get in the car. Now.

We should have guessed they'd be difficult teenagers. Poor Ret, getting busted the same day her dad dies.
