Thanks MarianT, I went to look at my purchase History and downloaded it again... it did download, but when I launch the game it's as if Dragon Valley doesn't exist...

If I start this dynasty without my dragons I cannot get them when I solve the problem, or can I?

When you start the launcher, in the download tab you should see "dragon valley" - you need to checkmark the box then hit install.

I did that and it went through all the installing process but then nothing... I'll just turn off the computer and see what happens.

I'm sorry this might be going off topic, should I start a thread on this? I looked for a similar one but it seems to be too old.

You could try a factory reset. Copy across any saved items that you want to keep - saved games, library, saved sims, user preferences etc. Copy your downloads folder. (Put them somewhere other than your Electronics Arts folder). Then delete your Sims 3 folder. When you start the game again you will have a fresh folder. You can then paste your saved folders back into the Sims 3 folder, but not the downloads folder. Navigate to your downloads folder, and then reinstall your downloaded content by double clicking each file. You could probably copy over the whole downloads folder and install everything through the launcher, but I'm not sure if you would replicate your problem that way.

I had a similar problem with my ice lounge and later with my greenhouse set. I had used them previously in game, but they stopped showing up even though they were downloaded (more than once). I got advice on the official site to delete my DCCache, and download everything all over again. I don't have that much downloadable content so it wasn't too time consuming, but it did work - both times.

Thank you all for all your help! I'm going to do everything I've been advised to do, if nothing works I'll ask in the "technical help" thread, so I don't go on with my problem in here, just because it's so off topic.

Do gnome tombstones count as gnomes in a collection? I searched to see if there has ever been a ruling on this in the other dynasties, but apparently not.
