What I meant to say and probably didn't convey is the look of the mausoleum is up to you.  Nothing has to be on display.  They just can't be put away in a chest or alchemy box.   You could have 7 generations of 7 items laying on the ground somewhere. 

No the cloned items don't count - just the samples.

Ah. I imagine that would be due to the fact that if they're away it's easy not to interact with them. Well, as I said I picked out a different category of items because I wanted a cohesive look. But thank you for the clarification on both that and the cloned items.

I have a problem: My heir is a stylist, he already did about 50+ makeovers (he fulfilled the 50 makeovers wish) but he got neither the Stylist Trophy (make over 10 sims) nor the High Style Ribbon (make over 50 sims). So, my question is: How do you get them? Do they arrive via mail like skill certificates or do they get a phone call?

You get a call to go down to City Hall.    Do you live in a town with combination rabbit holes?

No, it's Sunset Valley. my founder had the same problem, too. She never got a call.

[Ricalynn]

That's strange  but sometimes it takes a while to happen.  What was your founder?

She was a world renowed surgeon. I changed her into the police career (she strangely started at level 4 or 5) when she didn't get a call about 10 days after reaching lvl 10 in medicine.

Medical key to the city is flaky.  It's almost easier to go for the skeleton.

Which skeleton do you mean? Or how to achieve it??

There are a whole bunch for the Ambitions careers that you get for doing certain things.

Too bad, I didn't thought about it earlier. 
Well, she used the police car and the logic skill certificate as her rewards.
But what about my second heir, the stylist? How long could a phone call take?

It's completely random.   Have you done 25 makeovers since hitting level 10?  There's a mirror for that.   The ribbon is for 100 makeovers total.  Were the 50 you did on different people?  That could be part of it.    Did you get the one for 10 makeovers?

Are you absolutely certain you're watching the notification tab for when it says something?  The phone doesn't actually ring.   It's a saying up in the top right and you have like an hour to get down there if it's the key.

He's only level 9 and the about 50 makeovers he did were only on about 20 sims I think. Maybe that's the problem. He didn't get the trophy for 10 makeovers.
I'm rather sure I observed the notivications. But maybe I'm just too impatient.  I will wait until he hits lvl 10.
I'm sorry I bother you with my hasty question but I was worried due to what happened to my world renowed surgeon.

It's not a bother at all.  I can understand how frustrating it is.  Just maybe think about a backup plan just in case.

Well, as a back up I thought about the forensic career (painting skill certifivate and laptop). But would that be eligible since he will get the police car that was one of his mother's rewards?
