Yes, this applies to people with older games.  I will send you a PM on this.

I'm aware there is a bug with the Scientist's chemistry lab, but my second gen is supposed to join the career once she's a YA. Should I give her another career option or go with it and see if my game gets affected by the bug too?

I'm not aware of the bug, what does it do or affect?

@Nutella

This is the topic that was put up about it: Science Chem Lab Bug

From what I understand, the option to create serums is just gone from the chem lab station.

That is an annoying bug.

In your job daily task, just do other stuff since you can't create serum.  There should be plenty of misc daily task to do to get your career bar full.
If you run out of daily task to do that day, you will just have to return to work the next day to do the tasks and fill the bar.

If you are confident that you can workaround this serum bug, then by all means take the career.

I don't think my scientist ever managed a successful serum, there's always loads of other tasks to do.  It's totally worth the science career so you can get a cloning machine which is a huge help in a dynasty. I think I only ever attended with mine a couple of times, just to get the machine.

@Shewolf13 Thank you for including the link, I was supposed to do that >.<

@Nutella I guess that's what I'll do. I do have a spare who could join the career for a Sim week and see how things go.

@Nettlejuice

Joria added a comment to the thread about how it seems to effect those in the profession already.  So it might not be an issue either.  And you're welcome lol.  I know sometimes I forget the link to things as well.

I just had a party glitch where everyone had a Dirty Surroundings mood let despite clean surroundings. I couldn't get enough people to flirty in time, but I accomplished every other goal. Can I count that party as a gold medal?

Do you have a save before the party?  If you do, I think its better to go back to that save and redo the party.  If you don't, then go ahead and count that party as gold.

The bug only affects sims already in the career at the time of the patch, new careers are fine.

@Lisa46 do you have a popcorn maker? This item causes a Dirty Surroundings moodlet even though it is not dirty. It's a known bug.

A couple of quick questions which may or may not have been answered already.
For the collection, can I have my klepto sim steal the objects (it isn't in the list, but Kleptomania was just added so I thought I'd give it a go)

Also with your replacement Cemetary, can I also add enough items to be a party location?  I'm having a really hard time with my game if I invite sims to my home for the party element of the challenge.  The game lags terribly, but I can't find an alternate venue with kitchen and bar and piano etc to have it all for my social gatherings.

Thanks in advance.

@Playalot That's weird. My spare joined the career and couldn't get it to work. Had him quit and rejoin and it was fine. I guess I'll have to wait and see when my heir ages up.

@aargpirates

As far as I'm aware, the only collections allowed are those listed in the first post.

The only editing to lots other than your home lot or retail lot you can do is by dragging things from inventory. So if you bought a retail lot and made it your cemetery and party lot, I think that would work, though maybe a team member confirming would be better, just in case.
