It does now. I just didn't have it in mind, and they just get so talented and skilled they complete them almost by accident!

Does the same apply to the unique rewards?

Yes. the same applies to "unique" rewards.

Example:
Founder claim 4 unique rewards -- savant, steel bladder, morning sim, and night owl.
These 4 rewards cannot be purchase by any heirs in the future.

Wow, tjtemple, you are sort of a newbie to the Immortal Dynasty thing. I'm guessing Sims 4i is your first Sims experience, right? The same rules applied in the original rules for Sims 3.

No worries, you can always restart a new Dynasty and learn from the experience and the mods and creator(Metropolis, who created the original rules) are always friendly and helpful.

Anyways, welcome to the forums!
I play The Sims 4 for fun, so I don't care if I never end up being interviewed for the Dynasty Hall of Fame; people who play for keeps burn out too easily and don't enjoy playing the games, so I am going to not sweat the details.

Thanks @etnafan666 I am a long time Sims player but always give up through boredom and running out of challenges. This board has totally revitalised my interest! Perhaps a dynasty challenge was a bit too much for my first! Anyway... I have happily abandoned them and started planning for the entertainment challenge instead. I'll certainly get all the rules straight before I start though!

I'm also a longtime sims player, but I've never done a dynasty before. I played with a lot of mods in sims 3, and playing mod-free was pretty much unthinkable for me. So far, though, I haven't even looked at mods or CC for sims 4, just been playing around with what we've got (which is a lot!). So I definitely feel you on the difficulty front, @tjtemple , my founder is close to his requirements after like three attempts and it's definitely been a challenge!

@EtnaFan666, I definitely recommend getting Get To Work. It brings a lot to the game and honestly I found Sims 4 a little boring and lifeless before I got it. Now I can't stop playing!

I found the founder really tough @BigMud  but then through misunderstanding the rules it just got easier and easier..... with 6 generations all having great success... by the time I quit (today) I had over 7 million simolians in cash!!   I think if I tried again I would plan much better - like map out every gen's goals etc.  Good luck with yours!

I feel quite a sense of relief that it's over for a while!  :D

@tjtemple, Don't feel bad about making a mistake; so far only 2 people have completed the Immortal Dynasty. It's very hard. Making a plan helps, and keeping track of what you've done helps, too. If you look at the stories in the Immortal Dynasty section, you'll find that most of them have a stats section at the front.

Well crikey @mariant, I wish I'd known that a month ago.... I might have realised I was going wrong sooner!

Ok silly question...if I want my sim to collect ambrosia dishes, how do I determine what the value of the dish is?

If you hover your mouse over the dish, you should see the value.  Another way is to put the dish on a table/counter, go into buy mode (F2), then use your mouse to pick up the dish it will show you the sell value of the dish.

For the party thing, can you have two parties in different venues count as two separate parties? Like I know it says "party at a friends house" counts as a separate one but what about like, hosting a weenie roast at home and then one at the campground? Would that count as distinct parties?

Yes.  Weenie roast parties at different location will count as separate.  Date is the only one that won't count.

Weenie roast home & weenie roast park = 2 parties
Date home & date park = 1 party/event
