Oh darn. :( Perhaps I'll go back and do a reroll too, if I must restart

You don't have to but remember if you choose to hit the dice button to reroll traits - in all fairness & honesty, you have to keep the new roll even if it's worse than the original.

Let's see what we have here...

Overemotional (YAY!)
technophobe (*grumble*)
natural cook (by far my fave trait. :D)
eco friendly
clumsy (never tried it)

Not too bad, you could combine cooking and gardening for this sim. Technophobe is not my favorite either, since it makes them hate the tv all the time. But for a challenge like this you are probably better of without a tv because of the risk of unwanted skill training for heirs.

I would like to get something clear:
- Life state changing elixirs are banned for all sims in game right? (founder, heir, spouse, spare, non-household member)
- Heirs cannot change life state at all.
- Founders can, but only before trying for baby. (without elixir of course)
- All others (spouse, spare and non-household members) can also change life state (without elixir of course)

Please tell me if I am correct or not.
Problem? Don't panic! There is always a solution. You just have to find it  :D

Founders can but only before their requirements are finished, not just try for baby.  Requirements must not be finished when they change lifestate.

Also - no heir/founder is allowed to die to gain a different life state.   Otherwise you have it right.

Ok, thank you. This leads to my next question, if you don't mind me asking.
My whole town seems to be dying out, instead of having children... :(
Am I allowed to have a spare befriend a witch, ask witch to turn spare, have my spare witch then turn a non-household sim to witch for a future spouse? Please?

Or maybe I can make it a lot simpler and have the spouse move in and turn the spouse then, right? :)

Witches can't be turned - they have to be born or changed by story progression.

As for the no children, story progression has been broken for a little while in my game, too.  Like since Pets came out but eventually the game will replace supernaturals with new ones.  You just need to be on the lookout.   Don't forget to meet people at school and check at all the local hot spots listed in the paper.  Introduce yourself to everyone and maybe someone will finally show up that's suitable when the time is right.

If you have a witch sim in your household, maybe a little use of the Love Charm, Procreation potion, etc. could encourage townies to reproduce, just a thought.

Thanks to both of you, I will do that.
I don't have a witch yet (obviously...) but I do have a fairy. Anything she can do to help? I am not sure what the aura's have for effect to be honest.

There is one witch available in town, but that's a women and so is my heir so I need a male witch. Or am I missing something and can 2 female sims also make a baby? (you never know...) Never tried it lol

Perhaps wait for a male townie to be turned into a witch? It's bound to happen eventually.

Right and you can always use a young again potion if your heir gets old before she can get married just as long as her requirements are done.

Before you purchase your founder's lot - All edit town additions must be placed and finale.

For full disclosure, I just saw this now and I did place Flying V's Coffeehouse so she could change her job to there and get the career opportunities. Does this mean I need to start over?

Fairies can't do anything to help that. The Auras are skill boosters, except the soothing one, it's a positive moodlet. when you do get a witch, however, my tip will be of more use  ;)

You did it to correct the opportunity problem but you didn't ask permission first - is that what you're saying?

Yes, I was aware of the rule about Edit Town not being used for any purposes other than placing EA-created lots but not that that couldn't be done after the start of the game.  If that's the case, I may have to restart ALL of them. :(
