In the time I was able to play before my game stopped working, I was able to use several birthday cakes without issue.  I only ever used the birthday cake mid day though.  Are you using them late at night?

In between the game freezes, did you clear cache files?   Also, if you're having freezing doing the move, you could very well freeze during the Edit Town way.   Are you getting crash logs or are you having to hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete to quit the game?

The birthday cakes have been at various times of day - in fact, the one that worked and one of the ones that didn't were at the same time (well, one right after the other).

I use a batch file to clear caches every time I start the game.

I'm having to Ctrl+Alt+Del out of the game.

I keep having to Ctrl+Alt+Del too! And that hadn't occurred to me, but I have three spares I was planning to marry out and that won't work with the new patch now, will it? Grrr, I am not happy with my game right now!

Oh but on a separate topic, you mentioned before that I need more RAM for my game to run and save properly. If I allocate more memory to RAM will that work, or does it have to be physical RAM? My husband says we can allocate some of the hard drive memory to be used as RAM.

Rica is your game crashing too? I've heard a lot of that since Supernatural.

One more wish to add to the list, your sims can get a wish to detonate 100 objects - the base value for that one is 7 500.

Is that with the Grow a Perfect Garden LTW or without?

The Writing skill and/or LTW comes with a million 5000+ wishes, mostly ones about writing ten/twenty-five/forty novels. If I recall correctly, I think Write a Masterpiece was worth 10k or so. Whoops, just got it again but it's only worth 3,750.

Mixology also has a few big ones, but I don't remember what they were since I'd already gotten all my wishes done by the time I started that skill.

I've seen it worth as much as 17,500 - I think that's with ambitious and grow a perfect garden.

Said sim (Perenelle from my  Immortal Dynasty) had the LTW, but not Ambitious.

Can I use the Youth Again Potion on my founder if they're an elder?
And can ghosts die of old age? LOL

Ghosts do disappear, although there's no Grim, and the camera doesn't focus on them. No mourning either.

As long as every single other requirement has been fulfilled, yes.

And can ghosts die of old age? LOL

They disappear into the aether after a while, or so I've heard.

I got a popup that told me that a ghost in my neighbourhood had returned to the netherworld and could not be brought back again.

Am I allowed to get human spares turned into supernaturals? I have three human spares running around, and I want them to get in on the werewolf fun that the heiress gets to experience (obviously, I'd have them get bitten and get turned the old-fashioned way). I'll live if it's not allowed.

Spares are not held to any restrictions past the infant stage of life.
