I thought that we always allowed unicorns? I can think of at least two HoF dynasties that had unicorns in the household (Katluvr's Faes and Rica's Grims).

EDIT: I also found one of Metro's old rulings:

Quote
So i decided i'd start a new dynasty, using horses as my main income. This has probably been asked before, but are you aloud to adopt unicorns?

Yes. They have some magical powers such as the gardening blessing, but nothing that would give a player a huge advantage such as life extension, etc.

I don't think the team ever discussed it. I have personally never had a unicorn in my family so I did a bit of research when I found out about their abilities. It was on Carl's guide of course.

Another power that is very helpful in the gardening skill is Bless Flora, which will advance a plant to its next stage of growth. You can use this about three times with a max charge. Blessed plants have a chance to turn into Life Fruit. This spell will also revive a dead plant. Unicorns can also Curse Flora, which will kill a plant instantly. I am not sure why you'd want to use this, but you have the power!

This seems like a pretty powerful thing to have for an immortal dynasty.

Metro may decide that unicorns are allowed so long as you do not use their special plant skills.

What about making a backstory for our characters? Can we still get HoF status?

I'm not a team member, but many people give them backstories in a separate file.

Metro's original ruling about unicorns stand. I wasn't on the team back in 2011 which explains why I don't recall us discussing the use of unicorns.

So yes to having a pet unicorn.

Hi, guys, I was wondering if anyone knew what happened if a played male sim got a female homeless sim pregnant. Will the baby be born? Will the dad be unable to see them until the kid got older? Will a played sim eventually be able to move the kid in?

Yes baby will be born, but they will not stay in your household (will be with mom).  You can see your kid when they got older, but sometimes the game will move the family away, its luck.  If you want to play the kid, you have to move the kid in with mom or wait for the kid to be older (YA) then move him/her in.

I once had a male sim in my dynasty household impregnate a homeless female. The game didn't seem to treat the homeless kid too much differently from those born to residents. He appeared around town once he was a child and was able to be contacted normally. I don't think his aging was thrown off too much, but I can't say that I kept the best tabs on him. :P

Moving him in will be possible when he's of age, as with any sim.

Hi, I just saw the hall of fame for Life States Dynasties and one of them had an immortal cat. Why is that not allowed in immortal dynasties?

It's because life extension is pretty tightly regulated in the Immortal Dynasty, in that the only sims allowed to extend their lives are your immortals when they have finished their requirements. The restrictions apply to pets in an immortal dynasty to keep things consistent. In the Life States Dynasty, pretty much anyone can extend their lives, and that includes pets.

What if your sim picks up a special seed? How do we make sure it doesn't go in their inventory? And what do we do with the seed? ???

Plant it as soon as you get it, or put it on the ground.

What if your hunting at the graveyard say. Would you be allowed to have it in your inventory till you get home? And would you have to go straight home or can you look for some more?

You can take the seed from your inventory and put it in your home lot on the ground or fridge or chest without going home.  Put the seeds in home lot as soon as you pick them up, don't leave them in your inventory till you go home.
