We now have a system in place that allows me to put the latest news on the home page automatically, and create tiny posts that update you all about little things without a 7-8 step process involved. This looks like the same old page, but it’s using that new system. So from now on, we hope to use this to deliver more frequent news updates right here on the home page. You’ll still find a kind of timeline of major releases beneath this news section in order to help new people navigate the site.

Not really trying to compete with any other site, it’s just a part of being a good member of the Simming community – when something big is coming every site and YouTube channel shares it with its audience. Well, that’s the goal. It kind of has been for a long time, but I’ve been at a disadvantage doing things old-school. Raw html files and images, with it taking significantly longer just to make one post. Now a lot of things can be automated for me and I’m extremely happy to share that.

We now have details of features in The Sims 4 Realm of Magic. You can learn about the new pack’s features in one of two ways, as is starting to become the norm here. I have a traditional text guide as well as a YouTube video covering the trailer and developer tweets.

You’ll learn the same things from either option, for the most part. We’ll have a lot more to say about the pack in coming days. We anticipate the developers will share more information about Realm of Magic and the new Spellcasting system. We know that Spellcaster is a life state, meaning it’s exclusive and not possible to have at the same time as Vampire, Alien, Ghost or Mermaid, but it sounds to be fully featured. There are 24 spells and 15 potions that can be crafted, and players can have a familiar that gives them little boosts and helps to protect them from death. I’m really interested in the spell and familiar systems myself, so you can expect me to hone in on those things from day one.

The Realm of Magic Game Pack releases on September 10, 2019 for PC and Mac. Console players will find it available a bit later, on October 15. The new pack features several new additions:

• Spellcasting – 24 new spells across 3 magical disciplines
• Alchemy – 15 potions can be crafted
• Glimmerbrook and Magic Realm – Two new locales. Five standard lots in Glimmerbrook, 1 very large lot in Magic Realm (editable via cheats)
• Brooms – a new mode of transportation
• Familiars – Animal companions that fly around your Sim, providing protection and passive bonuses.
• Magical Build/Buy items, like a functional Cauldron

Check back for our coverage of the developer livestream where we’ll learn more about all of these features. I’ll be covering the stream to give you a great, concise summary within a day of its posting. In the meantime, we’ll publish things we learn here on the frontpage.

Reviews aren’t my thing, but I took a stab at it with this coverage of The Sims 4 Moschino Stuff Pack. I focus mostly on the photography. You’d be surprised, but there isn’t that much fashion in this pack, it’s more about fashion photography.

Extensive poses and means of controlling Sims to get them in the correct spot are available via a new mark you can place on the floor. The new subject marker, camera tripod, and even lighting are live-draggable to allow you to put them in your inventory.

I’ve created a new Youtube Video ahead of the upcoming Photography Patch releasing with Moschino. The new patch offers a couple of things freely. First, you’re now able to place photos on a table, resulting in the game creating an automatic stand-style photo frame for you. It’s possible to resize these to a degree.

Additionally, you can click the photo while it’s hung on the wall to change the frame to something that matches your room’s decor.

The developer livestream was a good opportunity to learn all about what Moschino offers to players through its extensive photography features.
