The Sims 4: Satisfaction Cheats

How to Earn Satisfaction or Cheat to Get Points

How to get Easy Satisfaction Points in The Sims 4
Whims provide easy satisfaction points, whether you pay attention to them or not. However, you can cheat to add points in a couple of ways - both by completing aspirations or giving reward points directly.

There are several ways to earn satisfaction points legitimately, via the whims, Aspiration, and even Seasons holidays systems in The Sims 4. But, if you're in a rush and want one of those shiny reward traits, you may wish to simply cheat to get them. So let's go over the ways Sims can earn Satisfaction, then how to cheat to get them.

Aspirations

How to Change Aspirations for Satisfaction Points in The Sims 4
You can change Aspirations at any time without cheating, if you'd like to go after Satisfaction the old fashioned way. Wait.. is using cheats the old fashioned way?

The main way to earn Satisfaction in game, at least by the thousands, is to actually complete Aspirations. The game facilitates this very nicely, in that you can change Aspirations as many times as you like. If you're leveling Charisma, pick a social one. If you're Painting or out Collecting, switch to something for an artist or collector. Progress is often tracked even when you do not have a particular Aspiration selected, which means you can switch and often check off a couple of the requirements straight away if you've done tasks in that category before.

Completing an Aspiration will typically get you somewhere between 3,000 and 5,000 satisfaction. Enough for a top-tier reward trait. However, there are a lot of nice ones so you need to do 2-3 Aspirations to afford several of them.

Whims

How to get Enable Whims in The Sims 4
Re-enable Whims by checking the box to the right in your Sims 4 game options menu.

This is where Whims come in. They can help you to get that extra 2-300 you need for a reward. The thing is, whims are now off by default in The Sims 4. A lot of them are really weird and unrelated to what you might be doing, so the devs gave an option to disable them entirely and made that the normal state.

To re-enable Whims, head to the menu (ESC) and go to Gameplay in the Game Options menu. From there you can check, "Show Whims". If you're playing to get as many points as possible, you may as well. The Whims will sometimes fire based on what you're currently doing, so you basically get free points not even paying attention to them! On the flip side if you occasionally look over, you will see whims that line up with your current goals and can take the opportunity to pin them to make sure they stick around so you can get rewarded.

Seasons Holidays

Completing Holidays in The Sims 4 Seasons will give your Sims satisfaction points. What is more, you can make custom holidays as well. It's not a huge reward, just worth noting. Also babies born from having a baby with Father Winter will get more Satisfaction from completing Whims!

How to Cheat for Satisfaction Points in The Sims 4 - use the Sims.Give_Satisfaction_points cheat
Sims.give_satisfaction_points # is the way to go in order to get satisfaction fast, but you can also cheat to complete Aspirations.

Press Control+Shift+C or all four triggers on console (or see our guide on How to Cheat). From there type in the first command, testingcheats on then type Sims.Give_Satisfaction_Points 5000 for 5,000 points. If you want more or less, simply swap out the 5,000 for the number you want (no commas). Testing Cheats is likely not necessary to use this, it's just a precaution on my part.

How to Cheat for Satisfaction Points in The Sims 4 - by finishing Aspirations
Finishing Aspirations to get Satisfaction is a good method, because you'll also get the reward traits for those Aspirations.

Reward traits from the store are not the only rewards you get. If you simply get Satisfaction then ignore Aspirations, you're missing out. Several really good rewards come from Aspirations. To cheat Aspirations do the above and use the Aspirations.Complete_Current_Milestone cheat to skip over the current requirements and immediately get the full reward and go to the next aspiration milestone. There are typically four for each Aspiration. Press the up key on your keyboard right after you do this, and you can rapidly skip levels and get Satisfaction points that way.
