The Sims 4 Bodybuilder Aspiration

Milestones and The Long Lived Reward Trait

by Tom "Metro" Schlueter

Mentoring Requires you to know the Sim a Little, so Try a Few Socials First

Overview and Set Up
Bodybuilder is one of the easier Aspirations to complete. There are no career requirements in any of the Aspiration Milestones, so if you plan on keeping a Bodybuilder around for awhile, then it may be a good idea to have a money making utility Sim in the household. The Long Lived reward trait is a nice one, especially if you plan on your Bodybuilder completing more Aspirations, pursuing careers, etc.

I gave my Bodybuilder some straightforward traits: Active (to frequently get Energized), Loves Outdoors (for an added buff with all the jogging), and Outgoing (to help with making a few friends).

Stage I - Basic Trainer

  • Work Out for 8 Hours (50 Satisfaction)
  • Work Out at a Gym Venue (50 Satisfaction)

The first Milestone is a simple "two birds with one stone" kind of deal - just go to the gym and start exercising. Try and complete as many Whims as you can early on so you can pick up the Gym Rat reward. With the reward you'll actually boost the fun bar while working out at the gym and you'll not get as stinky.

Stage II - Exercise Demon

  • Achieve Level 4 Fitness Skill (300 Satisfaction)
  • Push the Limits for One Hour While Energized (250 Satisfaction)
  • Own 2 Pieces of Workout Equipment (300 Satisfaction)

With the second Milestone you may not see the Push the Limits option on a piece of gear if you are already Energized. One trick is to click another Sim while Energized and workout with them. An easy way to accomplish the equipment portion of this Milestone is buying 2 punching bags, going into Live Mode, and then selling them to recoup most of your money.

Stage III - Fit to a T

  • Achieve Level 6 Fitness skill (500 Satisfaction)
  • Go Jogging for 2 Total Hours (350 Satifaction)
  • Spend 10 Hours exercising (500 Satisfaction)

Choose harder workout options when you jog or use gym equipment to build the Fitness skill faster to bring you closer to skill level 6.

Stage IV - Bodybuilder

  • Reach Level 10 Fitness Skill (1250 Satisfaction)
  • Reach Sims' Maximum Body Potential (1500 Satisfaction)

I had accumulated 4000 Satisfaction to get the Savant reward which helped with the last 2 Fitness skill levels. And again, always choose the higher level workout options such as Epic Workout as they increase the skill gain a bit.

I did a little research on the Long Lived reward trait. Apparently it only kicks in once you are an Elder and it's clear from various players submitting info that there is variation on how much time can be tacked on. I read a thread on the official forums that someone's Long Lived Sim on Normal lifespan ended up seeing two grandkids completely grow up. That's a pretty good chunk of added time.

Sims with the Long Lived Trait May Live Different Lengths

Now that my Bodybuilder finished the Aspiration he has been awarded the Long Lived trait. You may notice he is also an Elder, so big question is - exactly how long will he live?

Nope! It will be complete where you select an aspiration, and you will get the Long-Lived trait in your Simology pannel.

I've completed the bodybuilder aspiration a couple of times with no problems. However, this time I am trying to do it with an alien (full-blooded). As a child she had the rambunctious aspiration, so she has been working on her fitness for her entire life. For some reason I am having a lot of trouble completing the aspiration. I cannot get the alien to her maximum body potential. She has had level 10 fitness for a long time and she does hours of endurance running on the treadmill daily. Maybe aliens just can't reach their full body potential?

Try using the weight machine instead of the treadmill/punching bag. The same thing happened to me and I had my sim use the weights machine and she got it pretty quickly.

Maximum Body Potential basically means the muscle slider has to be all the way to the top. Use the weights machine to get this goal. Smile You can boost this muscle building goal by drinking the Protein Shake available through the mixology bar and by drinking it often, two or three glasses in a row even though your sim will not be hungry and by doing the most extreme weights exercise and push the limits as many times as possible in a row. After she has reached the maximum body potential if you don't let her lift weights anymore the 'ripped' look will go away after a sim week or so.

My elder Sims (Fitness levels 6 & 7) get too exhausted and can't complete "Push the limits for 1 Hour while Energized". Any suggestions?

Elder sims and exercise really don't mix! You could try getting the elder Very Energized with as many moodlets stacked up (use happy moodlets to stack as well as they will boost the energized moodlets) but to be honest it might be quite difficult to get the elder to last long enough to clear that goal. I would mouse over the sim as he/she exercises to see the moment when "Push The Limits' becomes available as often this will show as an option before the first work out is complete. The sooner your sim starts pushing the limits the better as if he/she has to do a full work out first it will 'up the odds' that the Push The Limits will be cancelled due to extreme exhaustion. Also try the various sports equipment as perhaps the boxing bag might work better in this instance.

My female sim completed the boby builder aspiration pretty much on her own. Her and her hubby were active and were always working out with no direction frm me. Anywho. She has been alive for a ridiculously long time. Her and hubby had abt 10 kids--i had all of them to marry and have kids. One child is still alive and some of her grandkids have died!!! She's my fav so I dont mind but im dreading the day she dies.

Hi! I think i'm having a problem with this. My sim is at lvl 10 but can't get the max potential...? should she just keep on working out or is it something iffy with my game? Usually they come at the same time?

Have your sim only do weights and eat loads of food even when she is not hungry. The body max is actually the weight slider at maximum which only happens after your sim has lifted weights for a while. To speed the process up have your sim eat protein plates and protein drinks together and maybe even a few meals in a row and then work out and push the limits on weights. If the sims body shape doesn't change after this travel through a loading screen as sometimes the game doesn't register this until that happens.

I’ve completed this and I’m still waiting for my sim to die. Even his own son has grown into and elder and most likely will die before him. He has lived for 203 days it’s says and still strenuously working out each day!

Yes, some sims really do get quite the life extension! I had one that lived to see his first child die. I actually thought my game was bugged out!

i have a question about this aspiration, i have a sim who is trying to complete all the aspirations i get stuck on the reach maximum body potential part. i think it has something to do with her being a vampire, but it never checks off! its literally been a year in game of her jogging 3 times a day! any suggestions???? i guess i could cure her, and complete the aspiration then turn her back into a vampire. but i don't want to unless its necessary!
